What we do
Every day, we source and verify job listings directly from the career sites of the UK and European defence primes and contractors - BAE Systems, Babcock, Thales, Leonardo, QinetiQ, and others. Roles are cross-checked against source postings so listings don't go stale, don't duplicate, and don't linger after a position has closed.
We tag every role by the clearance level it requires - BPSS, SC, CTC, DV, or eDV - so you're not three questions into an application before finding out you need clearance you don't hold.
The Career Hub
Alongside the listings, we write practical guides on the parts of defence recruitment that are genuinely confusing: what each clearance level actually involves, how long vetting takes, what roles pay at each level, and how to get into the sector without prior experience. These are researched and written by us, not automated or templated - we link public sources where the numbers come from public data (salary surveys, government announcements) rather than presenting them as certainties.
Who we are
We're a small, independent team building tools for specific UK job sectors - CareersInDefence sits alongside similar projects we run for apprenticeships and the rail industry. We're not owned by a recruitment agency or a defence contractor, which means we're not incentivised to favour one employer's listings over another's.
