Rolls-Royce is a British engineering company and a major provider of power and propulsion systems for defence. Its Defence business supplies engines for military transport, combat and trainer aircraft, propulsion and power systems for naval surface ships, and the nuclear reactor plant that powers the Royal Navy's submarine fleet through Rolls-Royce Submarines.

The company is headquartered in London with extensive engineering operations in Derby and across the UK, alongside an international footprint. Roles concentrate on mechanical, systems and nuclear engineering, manufacturing, software and digital, and project management, supported by well-established apprenticeship and graduate programmes. Many submarine and naval roles require UK security clearance.
