About the Role
As a Business Intelligence Developer at BAE Systems, you will play a pivotal role within the AIR sector. You will be responsible for designing and delivering insightful BI reports, dashboards, and data visualisations that empower informed decision-making across the business. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week on-site in Warton, with flexible working arrangements available.
Core Duties
- Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and other developers to understand systems and implement appropriate BI solutions.
- Translate business requirements and rules into technical design specifications.
- Build and deploy BI solutions adhering to code standards, configuration, and change management processes.
- Work with multidimensional and relational data sets to support the creation of Framework Manager Models.
- Participate in an Agile Development framework, including regular development sprints and daily stand-ups.
- Ensure timely response and resolution of incidents within agreed service level agreements.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in data modelling and producing high-quality design specifications.
- Strong background in developing BI dashboards and reports, including testing, validation, and deployment within an Agile environment.
- Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL, with experience using BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos, or SSRS.
- Exposure to SSAS.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and technologies, including SSIS, data warehousing, data vaults, and data virtualisation.
