Cyber Security Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our Digital Security Protection Team. In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of developing the next generation of defense systems, playing a crucial part in defining and executing Cybersecurity Technologies and Procedures to mitigate both short and long-term threats and risks. Our team is involved in international initiatives, offering a dynamic and diverse working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define Security Policies and Technical Compliance Checks: Ensure continuous evaluation and impact assessment of security measures.
- Security Configuration Definition: Translate business requirements into robust security configurations and hardening for security products and business applications.
- Risk Assessment: Support the continuous assessment of our cybersecurity posture and proactively identify new security countermeasures.
- Security Baselines & Features Definition: Define security baselines and features for critical defense technologies such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Active Directory.
- Security Automation: Contribute to Sec Dev Ops and secure development automation initiatives.
- Ticketing System Usage: Utilize Remedy for the authorization of security-related tickets, including administration rights, firewall changes, and URL white-listing.
About You:
- Experience in defining and implementing security policies and technical compliance checks.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into effective security configurations and hardening.
- Strong skills in risk assessment and identifying appropriate security countermeasures.
- Knowledge in defining security baselines and features for defense technologies.
- Experience with Sec Dev Ops and secure development automation.
- Familiarity with using Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
- Experience in customer interface between IT and end-users.
Location: Newport, South Wales (with hybrid working options available subject to policy).
Security Clearance: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance is required.
Travel: Occasional travel within the UK and internationally is anticipated.
