Enterprise Applications Specialist (SAP)
Join Prestwick Aerosystems, one of Ayrshire’s largest engineering employers, and contribute to a long-standing aircraft manufacturing heritage. We are seeking a dedicated Enterprise Applications Specialist to take a key role in owning and coordinating our enterprise applications, with a significant focus on SAP and its associated systems, at our Prestwick site.
This full-time, permanent role operates on a 37-hour week with a half-day Friday. You will be instrumental in supporting both current operational performance and future system evolution, working collaboratively across functions to ensure our systems are robust, compliant, and precisely aligned with business needs. The position is site-based and requires occasional travel.
How you will contribute to the team:
- Act as a member of the application team, providing comprehensive support for enterprise applications including SAP, overseeing system support, governance, and performance.
- Coordinate system changes and improvements, managing the full lifecycle from requirements capture and testing through to implementation and supplier management.
- Lead or support major application change projects, engaging with stakeholders to define and deliver essential system enhancements.
- Monitor system usage, data integrity, access controls, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and business requirements.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across our enterprise systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements for the role:
- Proven experience supporting enterprise applications within a manufacturing or industrial environment, specifically including SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating system changes, upgrades, or improvement activities within a live business environment.
- Experience working effectively with third-party IT providers or system vendors to deliver system support and development.
- Competence in supporting system governance, ensuring data integrity, managing access controls, and meeting compliance requirements.
