Management Accountant - Rosyth, Fife (Hybrid Working)
Join Babcock, a global FTSE 100 organisation, and play a pivotal role in our Liquid Gas Engineering business as a Management Accountant. Based at our Rosyth site, you will be integral to our high-growth Marine portfolio, operating within complex, project-based environments. This is a commercially focused finance role offering real influence, autonomy, and visibility with senior leaders, contributing to products and services essential to national security and public infrastructure.
About the Role:
As a Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis.
- Leading the month-end close process and ensuring robust financial controls.
- Partnering with operational and commercial leaders to explain financial performance.
- Maintaining rolling forecasts for revenue, profit, and cash flow.
- Developing financial models to support planning, investment, and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Time-served experience in management accounting within a project-led or engineering environment.
- Proven technical accounting capability, including revenue recognition and financial controls.
- Strong Excel skills with demonstrated financial modelling experience.
- Confidence influencing stakeholders through clear, actionable financial insight.
- Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA preferred; ACCA or equivalent considered) with substantial post-qualification experience.
- A sound understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and governance.
