About the Role:

You will play a crucial role within the FCAS Procurement Team, supporting future combat air capability programmes. This involves the strategic coordination of suppliers and partners, working collaboratively across integrated project teams to manage highly detailed procurement activities. You will assist with bid submissions and oversee contractual and funding requirements that are essential for early-stage technology development in a fast-paced and innovative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governing strategic supplier activities, including supporting contracts, orderbooks, and procurement delivery across FCAS programmes.
  • Collaborating with engineering and project teams to develop supply chain strategies that align with programme requirements.
  • Supporting bid submissions by coordinating contractual and funding information to ensure successful programme delivery.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships with suppliers, partners, and internal functions to foster integrated working.
  • Monitoring spend and supplier performance, supporting governance, negotiations, and alignment with planned budgets.

What We're Looking For:

  • Adept procurement experience within fast-paced, high-volume, or highly regulated industry environments.
  • Proven experience in negotiating contracts, coordinating bids, maintaining supplier relationships, and applying commercial terms and conditions knowledge.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Practical evaluating skills, with the capacity to compile data and present recommendations through reports and presentations.
  • Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to support procurement activities, reporting, and operational strategy-making.
