Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist
At Cavendish Nuclear, we are dedicated to creating a safe and secure world. As a Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist based at our Leicester, Leicestershire site, you will play a vital role in supporting critical nuclear and defence projects through end-to-end procurement, supply chain, and logistics solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the delivery of complex programmes, ensuring that the right materials, partners, and strategies are in place for safe, efficient, and timely operations. You will collaborate extensively with internal teams and external suppliers to develop integrated supply chain strategies, enhance value, and minimise risk. This role offers a chance to build expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationships within a highly regulated and purpose-driven sector.
The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements available. Employees are expected to work three days from our Leicester office and two days from home, with flexibility considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the full procurement lifecycle, encompassing strategy development, contract implementation, and supplier management.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and sourcing activities to ensure successful operational outcomes.
- Support the development of supply chain strategies that align with project and business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and material flow processes.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to add value and mitigate risk.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience working in cross-functional teams with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end sourcing and supplier management processes.
- Experience in managing supply arrangements, supplier performance, and delivery scheduling.
- Ability to interpret and apply contract terms, including drafting subcontract agreements.
- Familiarity with NEC contract models is desirable.
Qualifications:
- Hold a recognised professional procurement or supply chain qualification (e.g., CIPS or MCIPS), or be actively working towards one.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain UK - Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
