The Role
As a vital member of the Estates Delivery discipline within UK Defence Operations, this role is responsible for providing leadership and support to ensure the safe and compliant maintenance of Property Operations assets. You will manage the delivery of services to ensure the site is maintained, statutory compliant, and fully operational for core business activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and manage potential impacts of Property Operations activities on QinetiQ business, capability, and site tenants through effective planning, liaison, and communication with all stakeholders.
- Deliver a proactive, trained, and engaged team, minimizing reliance on subcontractor frameworks and supporting continuous change management within the Estates function.
- Ensure effective management and collaboration with key stakeholders and internal departments, including HSE, tenants, QinetiQ operational functions, and the MoD where applicable.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement activities for the site, challenging current delivery models and services to foster innovation.
- Lead on distinct elements as delegated by the Group Leader - Property Operations, such as internal and external audits (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001), managing the Risk Register, and ensuring all health, safety, and quality procedures, including contractor control and management reporting, are delivered on site.
- Report on operational delivery on a month-by-month basis, identifying areas for improvement to the respective Group Leader.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience leading a team within a facilities or site management environment.
- Sound understanding of health, safety, environmental, and security requirements for activities, operations, and sites.
- Ability to influence and challenge key stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and promote teamwork across national and multinational teams.
- Demonstrated advocacy for best practices and the ability to provide and deliver solutions for continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail, with the capacity to analyze data and solve complex problems to minimize risks and ensure service continuity.

This role is based at Benbecula, working 37 hours per week.
