Software Engineer/Developer

QinetiQ Training & Simulation is experiencing significant growth and is actively seeking talented Software Engineers and Developers across all experience levels to join our dynamic project teams. You will play a crucial role in delivering bespoke software solutions and applications tailored to meet our defence and training customers' specific needs. Your Role and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, high-quality, and maintainable code.
• Design, implement, and execute automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including reviews and retrospectives.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of robust software solutions for defence and training clients.

Essential Experience and Skills

• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C#, C++, Java, or Unreal Engine.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively within collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams.

Desirable Experience and Skills

• Experience in simulation, training systems, gaming, modelling, AI, AI/VR, and/or defence domains.
• A degree in a numerate subject or equivalent practical experience is ideally sought.
