The Role

As a Receptionist, you will undertake a range of reception duties, consistently presenting a positive image of QinetiQ and ensuring adherence to all processes and procedures. You will be the initial point of contact for all site visitors, assisting with enquiries and ensuring a welcoming experience for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for visitors, presenting a positive image and assisting with enquiries.
• Provide comprehensive reception services to internal and external customers.
• Support groups of visitors by booking them onto site in line with health and safety and security requirements.
• Maintain and organize a range of records, contributing to data analysis.
• Manage a high volume of telephone calls and utilize email for communication.
• Assist with the booking of rooms, catering, and resources for meetings, including photocopying, printing, and shredding.

Essential Experience:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• High attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new skills and processes.
• Previous experience in a customer service environment.

About Fort Halstead:

Our facilities at Fort Halstead in Kent are at the forefront of defence-related research, with a focus on weapons systems and military technology. Our modern laboratories empower engineers and scientists in material science, systems engineering, and advanced simulation techniques.

Working Hours and Location:

This is a full-time, on-site role of 37 hours per week, based at our Fort Halstead Site. The operational hours for reception are 07:30-16:00 Monday to Thursday, and 07:30-15:30 on Friday. Some flexibility on working times may be required.
