Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Advisor

Babcock is seeking a dedicated Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Advisor to join our team in Warminster, Wiltshire. This is a full-time, permanent role where you will play a pivotal part in enhancing our safety culture and driving continuous improvement across our Land business.

About the Role

As a Safety, Health and Environmental Protection Advisor, you will be instrumental in strengthening our safety culture and fostering continuous improvement within the Land business. Your responsibilities will include supporting operational teams, bolstering risk management, and ensuring the safety of our personnel, customers, and the environment. Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Supporting operational managers in embedding safe working practices and reinforcing accountability for HSE.
  • Providing expert guidance to drive cultural change and improve HS&E performance.
  • Undertaking compliance and assurance activities against statutory, customer, and internal standards.
  • Delivering clear, actionable feedback to promote ongoing improvement.
  • Assisting with risk assessments and the implementation of safe systems of work for activities both within the UK and overseas.

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on an on-site basis. Occasional travel to other UK IBES sites is expected, typically once per quarter.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a full-time health and safety role.
  • Proficiency in computer use and strong written communication skills.
  • NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Health & Safety or an equivalent qualification.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate will be required to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
