As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will provide technical leadership within Cloud Engineering projects and programmes, enabling secure, scalable, and mission-critical cloud capabilities at the forefront of innovation.
Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with project managers, supporting proposal development, and delivering robust cloud solutions. You will have the opportunity to lead project teams, guide junior staff, and contribute to both new and existing customer projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading project teams to deliver solutions, managing and guiding junior staff for new and existing customers.
- Providing technical leadership for the delivery of programme, project, and bidding activities.
- Supporting the development of cloud staff in their technical disciplines and contributing to resourcing decisions.
- Developing design certifications, technical delivery plans, high-level documentation, detailed design documentation, and testing schedules.
- Understanding market requirements and future technology developments, applying them to technical solutions.
- Performing complex engineering/technical assignments and developing creative, practical solutions to customer problems.
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience as a Cloud Engineer with strong knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- Ability to develop and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, or managing technical delivery teams.
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate effectively with non-technical audiences.
- Previous experience working within Agile Delivery environments.
- Proven experience delivering cloud projects end-to-end.
Location and Working Hours:
This role is based at any of our main sites (including Malvern), offering hybrid working patterns. The standard working week is 37 hours.
Clearance Requirements:
All applicants for this role must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum. Some roles may have additional restrictions regarding nationality.
