About the Role
Are you ready to shape the future of defence technology? QinetiQ is seeking a Senior Security Architect to join our team at a UK site. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design and development of secure technical systems and solution architectures, working with cutting-edge technology and brilliant minds.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Security Architect, you will provide expert cyber security consultancy. Your day-to-day activities will involve:
- Leading and supporting the design and development of secure technical system and solution architectures for our markets.
- Developing conceptual security solutions, architectures, and associated principles across a range of technologies and environments.
- Partnering with clients to drive the security outcomes they require, considering business and operational impacts.
- Developing security plans, policies, and processes, and advising on security-related technology selection.
- Leading security-related project delivery, from detailed technical aspects to high-level system views.
- Collaborating with other architect disciplines and technical experts to integrate security viewpoints into overall architectures.
- Supporting, coaching, and mentoring junior staff.
- Working with other security practitioners to shape and influence robust security architectural solutions that meet governance and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Bring
Essential experience for this role includes:
- A strong working knowledge of cyber and information regulatory requirements, with a good understanding of Information Assurance Frameworks.
- The ability to apply architectural frameworks and design patterns, supported by previous relevant architecture experience.
- Proven experience developing and advising on proportionate cyber security solutions to meet customer needs.
- A strong understanding of relevant digital technologies and how to apply security architecture principles, with in-depth experience in at least one area.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, the ability to make security recommendations, and experience leading teams to develop secure technical solutions.
- A good understanding of the current threat landscape, technical vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies.

Location and Working Pattern
This role is based at multiple UK sites, working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to customer sites will be expected.
