About the Role

As an Embedded Software Engineer or Software Engineer within the OpTech team, part of Intelligence Security Solutions, you will contribute to providing cutting-edge solutions that protect sovereign states from evolving and sophisticated threats. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the latest innovations and solve complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead software development and related engineering activities under the guidance of the Project Design Authority.
- Tackle technically challenging problems, from rapid development cycles to full-scale system development.
- Apply rigorous engineering practices, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, support, and maintenance of software solutions.
- Innovate in the application and integration of digital hardware technologies to build novel embedded systems.
- Translate system requirements into functional components and decompose them into deliverable User Stories.
- Effectively communicate ideas and solutions to a range of stakeholders and customers at all levels.
Essential Experience
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Extensive software development experience in languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or C#.
- Proficiency in developing and integrating software systems on bare metal and using Open Source/Commercial Operating Systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of complex software solutions.
- Previous experience in developing for embedded platforms.
- Prior experience with Unit Testing and CI/CD tools.
- Comfort and experience using both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to work within a rigorous engineering environment utilizing configuration management and change management processes and tools.
- Experience with multithreading development and debugging.
