Satellite Operation Engineer
Airbus Defence & Space is seeking a dedicated Satellite Operation Engineer to join our Secure Communication business line in Corsham, Wiltshire. Reporting to the Spacecraft Operations Team Lead, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our in-orbit spacecraft platforms, maximizing their useful life.

Your Contribution to the Team:
- Ensure operational readiness for key satellite operations phases.
- Assess and analyze the health status of the SKYNET satellite fleet.
- Act as the SKYNET spacecraft specialist, advising the Spacecraft Management Authority.
- Monitor spacecraft subsystems (platform and payload) through detailed analysis.
- Provide essential technical support for ongoing spacecraft operations.
- Develop, validate, and technically review SKYNET Operating Procedures and related documentation.
About You:
- Proven spacecraft operation experience.
- Understanding of satellite design and the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) phase.
- A keen ability for troubleshooting and making sound, decisive actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to report clearly and concisely.
