About the Role

As an Assistant Import / Export Officer, you will be integral to a fast-paced logistics environment. Your primary responsibility will be to support the effective management of import and export activities, ensuring adherence to both business and regulatory requirements. You will be crucial in maintaining precise documentation, upholding compliance, and facilitating service delivery through strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. This position offers broad exposure to various logistics processes, valuable opportunities for systems knowledge development, relationship building across teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational performance.

Core Duties:

  • Maintain and populate Import / Export records, files, and the ERP system.
  • Process Import / Export paperwork in accordance with set service level agreements and both external and internal regulations.
  • Interface and network with Shipping and Packing personnel to share best practices.
  • Obtain, review, and file customs declarations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant import/export regulations.
  • Effectively use IT software to support and enhance logistics service level delivery.
  • Resolve import / export shipping queries and requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support and cover the Import/Export team's workload as required.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven customer service experience within a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good systems experience, including the full Microsoft Office suite.
  • Prior exposure within a logistics environment.

The Logistics Team:

Within the Logistics Team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of service level agreements and the maintenance of current processes. You will engage with internal and external teams and functions to meet business requirements.
