Core Duties

• Deliver outstanding coaching, learning, and assessment practices that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and behaviours for progression.
• Embrace continuous professional development to support the delivery of innovative and impactful coaching, learning, and assessment.
• Assess and monitor learner progress and performance according to frameworks and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence.
• Coach apprentices to reach their full potential by providing support, mentoring, challenge, and motivation throughout their learning journey.
• Facilitate the coaching and development of apprentices through off-the-job training, welfare support, and careers guidance to aid progression and transition into the business.
• Ensure a Safety First culture is embedded in all activities and courses delivered to apprentices.
• Support modern learning practices, such as skills competitions and problem-based learning, as an integral part of the learning and assessment programme.

Essential Skills and Experience

• A modern apprenticeship in a fabrication discipline, equivalent to Level 3 SCQF 6, including completion of PEO SVQ2, National Certificate Fab/Weld, and SVQ3 Fabrication.
• Strong fabrication and welding knowledge covering all key elements and fundamentals, including thermal cutting, welding, marking out, and steelwork fabrication.
• Understanding of apprenticeship frameworks, awarding bodies, and compliance networks such as EAL, SDS, & Enginuity.
