About the Role:
BAE Systems is seeking a dedicated Electrical Technician to join our team at the Glascoed site. In this role, you will be integral to ensuring the safe and reliable operation of all assets and infrastructure across the site. Your responsibilities will include executing planned maintenance according to Reliability Centred Maintenance and Statutory Requirements, supporting Continuous Improvement projects, and undertaking breakdown repairs.
Core Duties:
- Adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) guidelines within the Engineering Services department, following all Site Policies and Procedures.
- Act as a proactive and technical resource to effectively solve plant, equipment, and control system faults.
- Ensure the site's electrical infrastructure, plant, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
- Engage with the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to efficiently manage maintenance work queues and provide timely updates to customers.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of a Time Served Apprenticeship through an approved body or organisation.
- Possession of an ONC and/or HNC (or equivalent qualification) in an electrical subject.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of electrical systems, including expertise in permit and isolation procedures.
The Maintenance Team:
You will be part of a highly experienced, multi-disciplined maintenance team working on a diverse range of electrical services, utilities, and production equipment. Effective communication with all site-level stakeholders is crucial for ensuring an efficient operational environment.
Location and Working Hours:
This is an on-site role based in Glascoed, requiring attendance five days per week. The position involves shift working.
