// Role Specification
In this 12-month fixed-term role, you will play a key part in ensuring apprentices with additional learning needs receive the tailored support they need to succeed. From assessing learner needs and creating personalised support plans to collaborating with colleagues and external specialists, you’ll help deliver an inclusive learning experience that enables apprentices to reach their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference while contributing to the success of our Early Careers programmes.
Core duties:
- Conduct learner needs assessments and identify appropriate support requirements for apprentices with additional learning needs
- Develop, implement and review individual Learning Support Plans to enable apprentice success and achievement
- Provide guidance and support on SEND, neurodiversity and inclusive learning practices across Early Careers programmes
- Manage a caseload of apprentices, monitoring progress and coordinating specialist support where required
- Maintain accurate learner records, support documentation and funding evidence in line with compliance requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective support and workplace integration for apprentices
Essential Skills:
- Working knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience managing learner records, support reviews and compliance documentation
- Experience identifying and supporting learners with additional learning needs – training can be provided on specific assessment frameworks and processes

You’ll be joining our Inclusive Learning Team, a specialist team of seven within a wider Early Careers function of 14 colleagues. Together, we are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every apprentice has the support they need to succeed. Working closely with programme teams, safeguarding colleagues, managers and external partners, we champion inclusive practices and provide tailored support to apprentices with diverse learning needs.
