MRO Delivery Manager (AAC Middle Wallop)
Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking an MRO Delivery Manager to oversee aircraft Maintenance Operations at Middle Wallop, working closely with our MOD customer on Vertical Lift platforms.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Delivery Manager will have full accountability for aircraft Maintenance Operations, Maintenance Support, or Maintenance Workshop areas. This involves direct control, oversight, and leadership of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of aircraft and/or component maintenance to the customer on time, within budget, and to first-time quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team in delivering aircraft and/or aircraft component maintenance.
- Implement and maintain an MRP 145 Production team and adhere to the plan/schedule.
- Engage regularly with BDUK Supply Chain, Production Service Engineers, CAMO, Commercial, and Programme teams.
- Conduct medium- and long-term resource planning.
- Monitor and coordinate all operational teams on a day-to-day basis.
- Collaborate with the customer and other BDUK MRO Managers for prioritisation of maintenance output and staff allocation within a BDUK 145 environment.
- Actively encourage, lead, and participate in Continuous Improvement workshops to identify and address inefficiencies.
- Respond to quality and safety deficiencies and lead corrective actions and associated documentation changes.
- Manage, mentor, and develop aircraft maintainers and supporting staff.
- Identify and produce output-focused metrics, reporting to Operations leadership and Programme Management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
Preferred Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of aircraft maintenance operations in a UK Defence or commercial context.
- Ability to provide knowledge-based leadership/oversight and apply technical and human factors knowledge in controlling maintenance staff.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively across multiple functions and levels, internally and with the customer.
- Working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MRP Part 145, BDUK MRP 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA), and Safety Management System (SMS) processes.
- Capability to understand and interpret technical documents, drawings, and authorised technical publications (ATP’s).
- Familiarity with supply, quality, and safety systems; knowledge of military maintenance practices and procedures is desirable.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members and develop productive relationships.

- This is a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom.
- Travel within the UK is expected, and some overseas travel may be required.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a UK Top Secret security clearance.
