About the Role

As a Senior Supply Chain Professional, you will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring compliance with WSUK governance and protocols. This role is based in Sheffield with a hybrid working arrangement, requiring 3 days a week on site.

Core Duties

  • Support the Procurement Manager in the management of key sub-contractors, ensuring all business requirements are met.
  • Effectively manage risks and opportunities associated with supply chain activities.
  • Attend and support internal, external, and supplier programme reviews, actively engaging with all required stakeholders.
  • Assist the Procurement Manager in leading any special projects or priority tasks that support the ongoing programmes.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated procurement or supply chain experience within a production environment.
  • Proven subcontract management experience, ideally with a background in material management to meet production needs.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance management.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems, including experience with Purchase Order (PO) creation, maintenance, expediting, and invoicing.
