About the Role

As a Training & Professional Development Practitioner at BAE Systems, you will be instrumental in crafting and implementing cutting-edge learning experiences designed to build essential skills across our Naval Ships division. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to pinpoint learning requirements, create compelling training content, and champion knowledge-sharing initiatives that boost capability, improve performance, and align with future business objectives.

Core Duties:

  • Design and develop innovative learning solutions tailored to the skills, knowledge, and experience demanded within Naval Ships.
  • Facilitate and deliver dynamic learning sessions in both physical classroom and virtual environments.
  • Research, develop, and present case studies drawn from actual business scenarios to enrich learning and professional growth.
  • Partner with various functional teams to identify specific training needs and engineer effective learning and development strategies.
  • Contribute to knowledge management efforts, including the creation of learning resources and methodologies to capture and disseminate vital information throughout the business.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions within complex technical, engineering, manufacturing, scientific, or STEM-focused settings.
  • A robust technical background in fields such as Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Science, Technology, or a related area, with a proven ability to transform complex subjects into accessible and engaging learning content.
  • Possession of a recognised qualification in Learning & Development, Teaching, Training, or Education (e.g., PGCE, PGDE, CIPD, or equivalent), or demonstrated experience in delivering professional learning programmes.
  • Experience in collaborative work with stakeholders to identify capability gaps, formulate learning solutions, and advance organisational development goals.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and present technical information in an engaging and easily understandable manner across classroom, virtual, and blended learning modalities.
