The Role: Commercial and Export Control Apprentice
This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with practical application within a challenging professional environment. You will join the AHUK Commercial Team, working under the guidance of the Export Control Officer. Full onboarding and training will be provided, with no prior experience in Export Control required.
Key Responsibilities
As a Commercial and Export Control Apprentice, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of commercial proposals and managing customer data.
- Supporting contract management processes.
- Liaising with cross-functional departments and external stakeholders.
- Gaining a deep understanding of the product portfolio and market strategy.
- Providing operational support for export control licensing applications and archiving.
- Supporting the creation of guides and training materials on export control topics.
- Assisting with compliance monitoring, internal audits, and government reporting.
- Investigating potential breaches of export control regulations and developing solutions.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Analytical and writing skills.
- Team spirit, adaptability, and intellectual curiosity.
- An interest in regulatory topics, knowledge transfer, and operational tasks.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and standard IT tools.
- Advanced/Fluent English language skills.
Desirable Experience & Skills:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent French language skills.
Additional Requirements & Security Clearance
Due to the nature of this position, you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance. Airbus Helicopters UK will support you with this process. You must also demonstrate the right to work in the UK. If you have not been a UK resident for the last 5 consecutive years, you may need to provide an overseas criminal records check.
