Your Mission

Airbus Atlantic is opening a position for a Quality Assurance and Statistical Process Control (SPC) Specialist in Saint-Nazaire. Reporting to the Site's Transverse Quality Assurance Manager, you will interface with various departments including Design Office, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and other Quality services. You will work on all elementary parts productions, focusing on mastering our manufacturing processes and reducing non-quality and control costs.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Proposing a structured and argued deployment plan for SPC in different manufacturing sectors.
  • Piloting validated SPC projects and ensuring reporting on cost, efficiency, gains, and deadlines.
  • Performing SPC-specific actions such as capability analysis, production means reception, monitoring of means/processes/products, and studying potential control reductions.
  • Contributing to the improvement of non-capable processes with stakeholders from various trades.
  • Providing support to production lines for process monitoring.
  • Supporting development and preparation services in analyzing customer requirements and manufacturing feasibility against process capabilities.
  • Defining, formalizing, and updating standard SPC methodological tools (e.g., Repeatability and Reproducibility studies, capability studies, SPC monitoring plans).
  • Acting as the IT department liaison for the implementation of SPC tools.

Your Profile (What will make the difference)

  • Education in mechanics, industrial engineering, or statistics, with demonstrated experience and skills in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Six Sigma / DMAIC methodologies.
  • Proficiency in mechanics, tolerancing, and project management, with an understanding of aeronautical elementary parts manufacturing and measurement processes.
  • Agile data analysis skills in Minitab or JMP, ideally with Python, PowerBI, or databases.
  • Ability to translate field needs into clear requirements for Data Analysts or Data Scientists.
  • Excellent collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams, coupled with autonomy, rigor, and adaptability.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities.
  • Minimum B1 level English proficiency.

About the Saint-Nazaire Site

The Saint-Nazaire site is a center of excellence for complex elementary parts, specializing in machining rails and stringers, drawing and mechanical machining of 3D fuselage panels, production of structural frames, 5-axis machining of large complex parts, bending and welding of pipes, and surface treatment/painting. With its short-cycle delivery capability (Fil Rouge), the site can respond urgently to customer production needs.
