Assistant Project Manager

As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of highly classified and technically complex defence projects within our Mission Systems business. Working at the heart of programmes that contribute to national security, you'll collaborate with Project Managers, Programme Managers and specialist engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting project planning, scheduling and delivery activities across multiple workstreams.
- Managing project controls including cost tracking, reporting and performance monitoring.
- Coordinating risk management, procurement activities and project documentation.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers and multidisciplinary teams to maintain project momentum.
- Driving the successful achievement of project milestones, objectives and deliverables.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3-4 days onsite and the other days working from home.
Essential Experience:
- Experience working within a project management or project delivery environment.
- Collaborating effectively with a range of stakeholders and functional teams.
- Demonstrating initiative, enthusiasm and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Working to challenging deadlines, project plans and delivery schedules.
- Supporting the successful delivery of projects within a complex operational environment.
Qualifications:
- PFQ and/or PMQ qualification or equivalent (desirable)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
