We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our UK Defence function, working within the Maritime & Land team at our Bristol, PTP, or Farnborough sites.
About the Role
As an Associate Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting Project Managers throughout the full lifecycle of customer projects. You will contribute to the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of projects, while simultaneously developing your own project management expertise.
This role involves close collaboration with Project Managers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to ensure all project activities are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Developing and maintaining positive engagement with project customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Contributing to the delivery of project outputs according to agreed baselines (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash, and sales).
- Resolving conflicts and collaborating across QinetiQ to ensure smooth project operations.
- Maintaining accurate financial and resource demand forecasts that reflect current project expectations.
- Applying governance requirements, including lifecycle and review processes, for foundation sales and delivery work.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
- Foundational experience in a Project Management environment, typically 1-2 years.
- Previous experience in either Maritime projects or working on an Engineering Delivery Partner (EDP) programme.
- Degree educated.
- Working towards early Project Management qualifications.
Work Locations:
This role is 37 hours per week and is based at our Bristol, PTP, or Farnborough sites, with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.

- Farnborough: A hub of creativity and innovation featuring state-of-the-art facilities, including high-energy laser technologies and a unique wind tunnel.
- PTP (Portsmouth Technology Park): A key facility dedicated to advanced technology development, engineering services, and complex systems integration.
