Your Daily Business – Your Tasks:

  • Surface Finishing & Painting: Applying coating materials and paints to metal and plastic surfaces of aircraft components according to technical drawings.
  • Process Preparation & Chemical Know-how: Professional preparation of workpieces and the production and mixing of material concentrations and solutions.
  • Work Planning & Quality Management: Independently planning and coordinating work steps in the manufacturing process while adhering to quality and environmental requirements.

Make it happen, make it fly:

In your 3-year apprenticeship (in cooperation with the Schulzentrum an der Alwin-Lonke-Straße), you will become an absolute tech professional. You will learn:

  • Know and prepare materials: At school, you'll learn the theory about metals and plastics – at Airbus, you'll then prepare the real aircraft parts for painting.
  • Mix colors and paint correctly: You'll learn how to correctly mix and apply different paints and protective coatings – in the Airbus halls, you'll then give the aircraft their actual design.
  • Pay attention to quality and environment: You'll learn the strict rules for safety and environmental protection and ensure that the paint adheres perfectly and all specifications are met at Airbus.

After successful completion, a takeover at Airbus Operations or Airbus Aerostructures is possible.
