About the Role:
As a Vehicle Painter (m/f/d) at Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH, you will be responsible for applying paints, lacquers, and other coating materials to wood, metal, and plastic surfaces.
What You Will Learn During Your Apprenticeship:
- Reading and handling technical documents and various application methods.
- Creating pore-free plastic components using spachteltechnik, and applying various primers and topcoats.
- The systematic process of painting, from sanding to high-gloss polishing of finished components.
- Decorative and design work on helicopters, up to the final inspection of the painted object.
- Identifying errors and their causes in technical systems and maintaining these systems.
Apprenticeship Duration:
Your apprenticeship will last for 3 years.
What You Should Bring:
- A very good secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss), good intermediate school leaving certificate (mittlere Reife), or a university entrance qualification (Abitur).
- Careful working attitude; knowledge of chemistry, physics, and technology are advantageous.
- A strong understanding of technical and logical correlations.
- Knowledge of mathematics is important, as are good health and normal colour vision.
Development Opportunities After Apprenticeship:
You can develop as a specialist in various areas, participate in project teams, and take on initial technical leadership roles. Further training to become a Master Craftsman, a Technician, or a technical university degree are also available.
