About the Role
As an Aircraft Mechanic (m/f/d) specializing in manufacturing technology, you will be involved in the production, maintenance, and repair of helicopters and aircraft doors. You will assemble individual parts into sub-assemblies and complete aircraft based on technical drawings and manufacturing instructions, utilizing various materials and joining techniques.
Key responsibilities include quality control, documentation of work, and participation in flight operations while adhering to all safety standards.
Training and Development
Your 3.5-year apprenticeship will cover:
- Processing metallic and non-metallic materials using manual or machine-based manufacturing methods.
- Manufacturing various joining techniques such as riveting, screwing, and bonding in lightweight construction.
- Assembling, adjusting, securing, and testing all components on aircraft.
- Performing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical functional tests.
- Handling tools, machinery, equipment, hazardous substances, and aids.
- Documenting all production and maintenance work.
- Handling, understanding, and applying technical documentation.
- Inspecting completed work on aircraft.
- Handing over completed work steps to the next production and maintenance stations.
- Adhering to current regulations and guidelines regarding occupational safety and environmental protection.
What You Bring
- A very good Hauptschulabschluss with QA, good Mittlere Reife, or Abitur.
- Enjoyment and interest in working with state-of-the-art technology.
- A strong understanding of technical and logical contexts.
- Good spatial reasoning and manual dexterity.
Career Progression
After completing your apprenticeship, you can develop as a specialist in various fields, participate in project teams, and take on initial technical leadership roles. Further training to become a Master Craftsman, Technician, or pursuing a technical degree are also available options.
