About the Role: Industrial Mechanic (d/m/w) Apprenticeship
Industrial Mechanics are involved in the manufacturing, maintenance, and monitoring of technical systems. The focus of their activity is the setup, conversion, and commissioning of production facilities. Typical areas of application include maintenance, mechanical and plant engineering, production technology, and precision instrument manufacturing.
What you will learn during your apprenticeship:
- Reading and handling technical documents and the manual and machine processing of metallic and non-metallic materials are fundamental components of your training.
- You will manufacture components and assemblies using various manufacturing processes, assemble them into technical systems, and test their functionality.
- You will learn to set up workstations, convert machines and systems, and perform maintenance and inspections on these machines.
- You will familiarize yourself with modern control technology and learn to build, expand, and test electro-technical components of control systems.
- You will learn how to identify faults and their causes in technical systems and how to maintain the systems.
Apprenticeship Duration:
Your apprenticeship will last 3.5 years.
What you bring to the role:
- Very good secondary school leaving certificate with QA, good intermediate school leaving certificate, or a high school diploma (Abitur).
- Enjoyment and interest in working with state-of-the-art technology.
- Well-developed understanding of technical and logical relationships.
- Good spatial reasoning skills and manual dexterity.

You can develop further as a specialist in various areas, work in project teams, and take on initial technical leadership roles. Of course, further training to become a master craftsman (Meister), a technician (Techniker), or a technical degree program are also open to you.
