Avionic Software Engineer
Leonardo, a leading international industrial group in Aerospace, Defence & Security, is seeking a motivated Avionic Software Engineer for its Pomezia office. This role is within the Safety Critical Avionic Equipment SW – Cockpit SW area, contributing to cutting-edge aerospace technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer requirements and develop/verify real-time embedded software for safety-critical avionics subsystems.
- Develop and verify graphical/HMI applications for avionics.
- Write test scenarios, prepare project documentation, and integrate developed real-time software applications into final systems.
- Execute V&V activities in accordance with DO178C and manage V&V project teams.
- Participate in technical meetings and reviews with clients and suppliers, as well as process reviews with clients and certification authorities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's).
- 1-5 years of experience (Junior or Expert level).
- Knowledge of electronic and IT technologies applied to complex systems, digital architectures, SW versioning tools, and requirements management tools.
- Familiarity with avionics standards (DO178C), Real Time Embedded Systems, and RTOS (Integrity, VxWorks).
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, GPGPU Programming (CUDA, Vulkan), and Real Time Operating Systems.
- Experience with Real Time testing methodologies is essential.
- Knowledge of OpenGL and the Office Suite is beneficial.
- Good command of English (B2 level).
