Your primary focus will be on pursuing and securing new business, developing best-practice methodologies, and fostering collaboration among Strategy, Customer, Government Relations, Technical, and Commercial teams. This position provides a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse range of opportunities, interact with various customers and their specific requirements, and gain valuable insight into significant national programmes and long-term growth initiatives.

This role is situated within the Business Development team, with responsibilities spanning both Submarines and Civil Nuclear energy programmes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients, contributing to strategy formulation, capture planning, and programme pursuit activities to ensure a cohesive, efficient, and successful business development process.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to develop strategic campaigns and pursue opportunities across Defence and Civil Nuclear sectors.
  • Collaborate across internal teams to ensure alignment, process compliance, and effective delivery of business development initiatives.
  • Create compelling internal and external presentations, proposals, and materials that communicate Rolls-Royce’s value propositions.
  • Support lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives to embed best practices across the business development function.

Who we’re looking for:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to coordinate and drive tasks across multi-disciplinary teams, with strong communication and information sharing.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and insights.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal, including presentation experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills, capable of supporting multiple priorities simultaneously.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business, an individual must hold Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently have this in place. Candidates must be UK nationals. All offers are subject to satisfactory security screening and Ministry of Defence approvals.

The role involves hybrid working, with an expectation of attending the workplace, on average, three days per week for collaboration and specific reasons.
