// Role Specification

The Business Modelling & Pricing team provides crucial support to Defence engine programmes throughout all lifecycle phases. These key players are instrumental in winning new business by accurately pricing opportunities, engaging with customers, and supporting negotiations leading up to contract signature. In the current market, precise cost forecasts are essential for delivering affordable, value-for-money solutions, while also protecting Rolls-Royce's margins and identifying areas for enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce price proposals for new contracts, collaborating with experienced colleagues on price negotiations with customers and auditors.
  • Construct inputs for business models and offer expertise to the wider organization on business modelling techniques.
  • Collaborate with customers, sales, and programme teams to define requirements.
  • Support the development of cost forecasts across multiple functions (e.g., Commercial, Customer Business, Services Capability teams) for both new and existing business.
  • Analyze the impact of workshare agreements, partnerships, and Rolls-Royce's ability to share risk and optimize revenue.
  • Provide risk expertise and support Long-Term Contract reviews to assess contract profitability, gathering and coordinating information from various functions to forecast future profits.

About You:

An understanding of business operations is desirable, but this role is also suited for individuals looking to leverage or develop their business knowledge. You should be numerical, logical, and adept at working with large datasets, particularly using MS Excel and SAP. The ideal candidate will possess an appetite for technical understanding combined with a desire to inform and lead business decisions. While no specific academic qualifications are mandatory, a business degree is advantageous.
