Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment Engineer (f/m) to join our In-Service Engineering Department in Toulouse, France. You will be an integral part of the Cabin & Cargo Mechanical Equipment team, focusing on Cabin & Cargo Systems.

About the Role

You will join a dynamic team providing essential technical assistance for Cabin & Cargo systems across the entire in-service fleet of Airbus commercial aircraft, ranging from the earliest Wide-Body models to the latest A350, A330neo, and A321XLR.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key technical referent for assigned primary perimeters (one or two), and be involved in secondary perimeters.
  • Address daily customer queries using the Tech Request Manager tool, following up via phone and direct discussions with Airlines or their representatives.
  • Perform standby duties overnight and on weekends when required.
  • Provide on-site assistance as necessary.
  • Monitor and record in-service events, identify potential recurring or safety issues, and initiate corrective actions with relevant Engineering Role Technical Leaders (ERTL), Programme, and Design organizations by creating Major In-service Problem (MISP) or Request For Work (RFW) documentation.
  • Propose, author, and review Pre-Defined Solutions (PDS).
  • Deliver In-Service Information (ISI) and Technical Follow Up (TFU) to airlines, ensuring high quality and added value.
  • Facilitate the feedback loop of in-service experience, maintenance activities, and significant issues to management, the design organization (FEEL), and suppliers.
  • Participate in meetings, webinars, and regional conferences to effectively communicate with airlines.
  • Engage in meetings on Cabin & Cargo technical topics with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review documentation for new programs and modifications/adaptations to in-service programs (AMM and TSM).
  • Contribute to the Change Request process.
  • Optionally, mentor and tutor newcomers, including apprentices, interns, and temporary staff, by providing technical training and awareness sessions.

Your Profile:

  • Engineer with experience in aircraft systems or structures, with a preference for Cabin & Cargo systems.
  • Negotiation level of English (written and spoken) is required for communication with customers and design offices.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer support and customer service orientation.
  • Good coordination and interpersonal skills for dealing with Customers, Design Offices, Vendors, and other Airbus departments.
  • Team player, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Proficiency in people skills for coordinating activities beyond purely technical topics.
