About the Role

We are looking for a Chemical Laboratory Assistant (m/f/d) to strengthen our team at Airbus Operations GmbH. In this responsible role, you will make a direct contribution to quality assurance and conformity in aircraft construction, working in our laboratory to ensure our production processes.

Your Location

You will work at the largest production site for civil aviation in Hamburg. Located on the southern bank of the Elbe River, this location offers, among other things, the possibility of commuting by ferry. Experience the maritime flair of Hamburg, where cosmopolitanism meets tradition.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical analyses and material tests on semi-finished products, components, and parts in accordance with Airbus regulations and standards.
  • Control and optimize testing processes, and operate and maintain laboratory equipment professionally.
  • Ensure complete documentation, interpretation, and statistical evaluation of measurement results.
  • Provide technical advice to manufacturing departments during process changes and conduct training for internal testers.
  • Continuously optimize testing procedures and support damage analysis to determine root causes while adhering to strict safety standards.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Completed apprenticeship as a Chemical Laboratory Assistant (m/f/d) or equivalent.
  • Several years of professional experience in a materials laboratory, preferably in chemical analysis.
  • Sound knowledge in operating laboratory equipment and proficient use of specialized application software.
  • High degree of precision, methodical working style, and the ability to independently justify complex results to downstream departments.
  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and specific Airbus regulations and norms is an advantage.
  • Fluent German and English language skills (at least B1 level).
  • Willingness to be highly flexible when required.
