Commercial Portfolio Lead

About the Role

At QinetiQ, we are at the forefront of creating tomorrow's defence technology. We are seeking a Commercial Portfolio Lead to join our Commercial division at our Farnborough site. In this role, you will be an integral part of a dynamic Commercial function, offering crucial commercial leadership and oversight for areas within the Maritime & Land Business that span across multiple business units.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing multi-disciplined Integrated Delivery Teams in alignment with the established business strategy. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing local commercial strategies, encompassing people, processes, and tools for each line of business within the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a commercial engagement strategy for the portfolio, aligning with the portfolio and business strategy over a 3-5 year planning horizon.
• Lead and manage key and strategic relationships, both internally and externally.
• Be accountable for commercial governance on proposals and contracts, including those that may be non-standard and of medium to high complexity.
• Act as a leader in negotiation strategy and planning, with the ability to influence up to executive committee level.

Essential Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a Commercial management or leadership role.
• Experience within the Defence, Aerospace, or Marine industries is ideal.

Essential Qualifications

• Degree educated.
• WCC Member status or higher, OR MCIPS qualified.

Location and Working Hours

This role is based at our Farnborough facility, working 37 hours per week, with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
