Commodity Manager - Detail Parts Space Systems
An opportunity for a Commodity Manager for Detail Parts within Space Systems has arisen at Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. This role is crucial for leading the sub-MFT and serving as the company's entry point for commodity management concerning specific product/service categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for leading the sub-MFT and acting as the primary contact for commodity management.
- Support the implementation of the Commodity Strategy for Space Systems Detail Parts.
- Secure and nurture long-term supplier relationships.
- Ensure comprehensive management of product supply risks in line with Procurement procedures.
- Lead the Commodity Multi-Functional Team (MFT).
- Oversee the tender and supplier selection process.
- Lead and contribute to Procurement and Value Creation projects aimed at delivering synergies and savings.
- Promote Sustainability, Innovation, Resilience, and Global Sourcing initiatives to maintain the competitiveness of the Space Systems business line.
- Contribute to the success of all Space Programmes by ensuring suppliers in the portfolio meet development milestones on time, with the right quality, and within budget.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to ensure program expectations are met.
- Set up and negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers.
- Lead Supplier Evaluation Development (SED) and define action plans for strategic supplier development.
- Manage complex and international projects within the corresponding MFTs, ensuring full alignment with the Airbus Defence and Space strategy.
- Ensure contribution to fulfilling the company's Geo Return strategy for Space Systems projects.
- Ensure the cascade of Airbus integrity standards across the supplier base, including the deployment of the Airbus Code of Conduct.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for an international environment.
- Strategic thinking ability, with a capacity to see the big picture and synthesize information.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence, and convince.
- Capability to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risks.
- Negotiation level of English proficiency.
