Communications Manager

As a Communications Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting our Marine sector, articulating the stories of complex defence and commercial marine programmes across the UK and internationally. You'll be integral to our global communications function, influencing how we connect with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver strategic internal and external communication plans aligned with Marine sector priorities.
- Create clear, compelling content and messaging for various audiences across multiple communication channels.
- Manage media relations, stakeholder engagement, and local communication activities.
- Provide support for crisis communications, issues management, and campaign execution.
- Monitor the effectiveness of communications and continuously enhance channels and strategies.
About You:
You will have demonstrable experience in a communications or public relations role within a large, complex organisation. Strong experience working with media and external stakeholders is essential, along with a proven understanding of internal communications and its role in supporting business objectives and change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, with the ability to tailor your tone and style for different audiences. Experience in translating complex information into clear and engaging content is also required.
Qualifications:
- A corporate communications or public relations qualification.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
