About the Role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Configuration Management Functional IT Architect (f/m) to join the Digital for Configuration Management department in Toulouse, France. You will be a key member of the team developing PLM digital frameworks and Configuration Management capabilities, supporting all Airbus aircraft programs. Your role within the DPC organization will involve defining next-generation IT architectures to streamline change processes and harmonize legacy software ecosystems, ensuring delivered aircraft definitions meet airworthiness and airline specifications.

Your Challenges

  • Drive IT solution architectures for aircraft customization and change process domains.
  • Optimize synergies across legacy system landscapes (e.g., ACS Convergence) to reduce IT total cost of ownership.
  • Represent the Product Service Line in the Digital Customization Board to align functional strategies with Enterprise Architects.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to Product Managers and Product Owners, ensuring technical deliveries align with functional vision and business goals.
  • Coach and mentor domain architects, fostering architectural standards and Agile/SAFe best practices.

Your Qualifications

  • 10 years of proven expertise in Configuration Management, Program Management, and Aircraft Customization workflows.
  • 5 years of experience in complex transnational and multicultural environments.
  • Deep familiarity with enterprise IT landscapes (PLM, ERP, Planning), technical software patterns, and SAFe methodology.
  • Strong soft skills with proven ability to influence senior leadership and translate complex concepts for development teams.
  • Full professional fluency in English (negotiation level) is mandatory for leading strategy across European and global sites.
