About the Role

An opportunity for an Control-M Automation IT Operation Specialist has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Albacete, Spain. You will join the multicultural and multidisciplinary IM Integration & Digital Technologies team, actively contributing to the digitalization of our business. The team operates a Workload Automation platform based on the Control-M tool suite, which automates business processes across all company domains and functions, becoming increasingly critical to our IM infrastructure.

Your Challenges, Main Tasks & Accountabilities

  • Platform Operations: Ensure the proper real-time monitoring and operation of the Control-M production plan, working in close collaboration with related subcontractors.
  • Workflow Creation: Manage and deliver required change requests, job scheduling, and new feature requests (Build) based on functional specifications.
  • Incident Management: Act as the technical point of contact for troubleshooting job failures, analyzing logs/Sysout, and performing recovery actions to meet operational SLAs.
  • Service Lifecycle: Contribute to the product and service strategy by defining scheduling rules, calendars, and optimization through On-Do actions.
  • Collaboration: Work with the IM Security team to ensure that automation standards and developed solutions meet security constraints and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a technical focal point for all actors involved in the batch processing ecosystem.

Skills and Competencies

You have the following skills and competencies:

  • Degree level (or equivalent) in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Control-M Expertise: Strong experience in Workload Automation (V9.x or higher), including Monitoring, Planning, and Configuration.
  • Technical Background: Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments, with the ability to read/modify Shell, Bash, or PowerShell scripts.
  • Proactive Attitude: Team player with a "can-do" attitude and experience working in international teams.
  • Quality Focus: Good understanding of business requirements and a commitment to maintaining production stability.
  • Communication: English at negotiation level.

Skills That Would Be a Plus:

  • Experience with Control-M MFT (Managed File Transfer) or specific add-ons (Databases, Cloud).
  • Experience with Scrum and SAFe methodologies.
  • German / French language skills.
