Customer & Supplier Interface Manager (m/f/d)
Airbus Helicopters, located in Donauwörth, is seeking a Customer & Supplier Interface Manager to join their operational purchasing team. At our Donauwörth site, situated on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg, we develop helicopters from the initial concept to the finished product, with the unique experience of seeing them take off and land on our own test flight field.
As a Customer & Supplier Interface Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the central point of contact and escalation instance for internal customers (Production, MCA, FAL, IPO, Programme) regarding Standard Parts & Platforms in Donauwörth.
- Ensuring the material supply for internal and external production areas.
- Managing the performance and risks of the procurement organization to secure material availability in cooperation with strategic procurement and SCQM.
- Handling interface communication and representing Procurement Operations in key meetings such as SQCDP, PPS, S&OP, and Performance Reviews.
- Steering recovery actions and enforcing action plans for critical supply bottlenecks.
- Supporting series ramp-ups and new developments concerning costs and components.
- Optimizing processes and further developing material flows, inventories, and cross-plant platform management.
- Establishing standard reports and ensuring regular stakeholder communication.
- Assisting the Team Lead with KPI monitoring (e.g., Missing Parts, Miscoverage, PO Status).
- Acting as a digitalization driver by utilizing and developing new efficiency tools (e.g., Skywise).
- Representing the department in new process introductions and leading improvement projects.
- Providing operational support for ordering processes to increase team agility.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Extensive experience in Supply Chain Management, including relevant SAP knowledge.
- In-depth knowledge of purchasing processes and methods.
- Ability to build an international network with suppliers, including at management level.
- Familiarity with the Airbus Helicopters planning process (S&OP, MPS, WPS).
- Practical experience in project management.
- Transversal management skills.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Solution-oriented, transparent, and proactive working style.
- Excellent motivation and communication skills.
- Conflict resolution competencies and high resilience/stress tolerance.
- Fluent/negotiation-level proficiency in German and English.
