About the Role

Airbus Defence and Space Cyber is looking for you to join our team as a Cyber Security Integrator (d/m/w) within the Integration Team of Airbus Cyber Programmes.

We are a business unit fully integrated into Airbus Defence and Space, comprising over 1300 cyber experts across our European sites in France, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom. With over 30 years of experience in safeguarding complex Airbus Defence and Space systems and networks, we leverage our Airbus DNA to create products and services for clients facing similar challenges, supported by state-of-the-art, reliable technologies.

Your Location

You will be based at the Airbus site in Immenstaad am Bodensee, contributing to the future of Connected Intelligence, Space, and Air Power. Your Responsibilities

  • Integration: Install and configure IT systems (Linux, Windows, Virtualization, Containers, Software) and specialized security products (Firewalls, SIEM, PKI) in accordance with our architectural specifications.
  • Hardening: Apply established security standards (e.g., BSI-Grundschutz or CIS Benchmarks) to secure operating systems and applications against attacks.
  • Automation: Support the development and maintenance of automation scripts (e.g., using Ansible, Helm scripts) to ensure reproducible and efficient installations and configurations.
  • Maintenance: Monitor system operational readiness, analyze issues, and independently resolve faults.
  • Documentation: Ensure all changes and configurations are comprehensively documented to be readily available for certification audits (e.g., by the BSI).

Your Profile

  • Completed Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma degree in IT, Cyber Security, or a related technical field, with initial professional experience, OR a completed, multi-year vocational training as a System Integration IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or comparable technical qualification (e.g., IT Technician, State-certified Informatician) including extensive professional experience in administering complex IT systems and products.
  • Sound knowledge in administering Linux and/or Microsoft Client/Server systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V) and knowledge of containers (Docker/Podman) and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in using PowerShell, Bash/Shell scripting, and Ansible.
  • Experience in network technology: TCP/IP, Routing and Switching, Firewalls.
  • Very good communication skills (in German and English), teamwork ability, and a strong capacity for structured and independent work.
