About the Role

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Data and Document Manager (m/f/d) to support Air Power in the 'Engineering Data Management GE' department. You will be part of the Air Power perimeter, supporting Data/Document Management for ongoing programs with our teams in Getafe and Manching. Your role will involve defining governance, processes, methods, and tools, and preparing for a new way of working in modern, digitized document management for future international programs, leveraging innovative tools aligned with our corporate strategy (One Platform / DDMS).

You will be involved in various programs, such as Eurofighter and Eurodrone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper management of documents and associated metadata, with a focus on compliant creation, review, release, distribution, and archiving.
  • Synchronize databases, distribute data and documents (internally and externally).
  • Conduct document reviews.
  • Participate in program-related milestone reviews and represent the department in relevant audits.
  • Regularly create and present KPI reports on the current status of data quality and consistency.
  • Foster an open and trusting culture, communication, and feedback within the team, ensuring intensive collaboration with our Spanish team.
  • Regularly exchange with all affected disciplines and areas to gather and evaluate improvement and/or change requests for the document management process and all associated methods and tools (e.g., DMS FileNet, Confluence, SharePoint, Digital Signature, 3Dx, PDM Teamcenter).
  • Initiate continuous improvements and document relevant processes regarding the 'Way-of-Working' by evaluating new technologies and leading various initiatives in this direction.
  • Provide support and training for the entire user community (approx. 3000 users).
  • Collaborate with our team in Getafe on data management topics, coordinating and, where possible and sensible, establishing common processes or concepts/solutions, ensuring knowledge exchange and reuse between programs/projects.

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Experience in data and quality management is desirable.
  • Knowledge of modern document management systems and development processes/tools (e.g., 3D Experience) as well as collaborative tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, etc.) is desirable.
  • Good knowledge in the analysis, implementation, introduction, and improvement of processes, particularly in the area of Data Management.
  • Team, communication, and presentation skills, as well as flexibility, resilience, and assertiveness.
  • Confident demeanor towards colleagues and management, also in an international environment (willingness to travel is required).
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
