About the Role

As a Deputy Commercial Manager at QinetiQ, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive commercial support to a varied portfolio of projects. You will collaborate with multi-disciplined Integrated and Delivery Teams and actively contribute to our business winning strategy. Your Responsibilities

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for all aspects of commercial support, including:

  • Customer bidding and contracting
  • Risk management
  • Change control
  • Contract and document drafting
  • Dispute resolution

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Working as an individual commercial contributor across and in support of a broad Business Portfolio or as part of an Integrated Capture / Delivery Team.
  • Responsibility for all aspects of legal, pricing, Intellectual Property and negotiation, in addition to contributing to effective and efficient contractual management of contracts within the portfolio.
  • Using commercial acumen on tenders and a variety of contracts which range from standard to typically non-standard, of medium to higher complexity, or supporting senior commercial staff on major projects or campaigns.
  • Managing your own project portfolio.

Essential Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • General commercial acumen on tenders and a variety of contracts which range from standard to typically non-standard, of medium to higher complexity, or supporting senior commercial staff on major projects or new business campaigns.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar commercial role.
  • Good experience influencing pricing strategy (pay, performance and incentivisation).

Essential Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A university degree in a relevant field or comparable work experience in a relevant role.
  • Accreditation to IACCM (WCC) member status or higher, or MCIPS qualified.
