// Role Specification

About the Role: Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Aerospace Engineering (m/f/d)

As a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Aerospace Engineering, you will work in diverse functions and fields. This interdisciplinary program combines modules from mechanical engineering, aviation systems, and space systems. You will prepare demanding projects for the manufacturing, development, and testing of aircraft components and automation, as well as analyze technical issues in conjunction with economic conditions.

The Dual Study Program

The theoretical studies at the Dual University provide the foundation for practical phases within the company, offering direct insight into the work of an Aerospace Engineer. During the initial practical phase, you will acquire fundamental mechanical engineering qualifications. Subsequently, you will be assigned to specific projects in various development or manufacturing areas, learning the tasks within an aerospace company.

In the third and fourth semesters, you will gain aerospace-specific modules such as aerodynamics or flight mechanics. The following practical phases will allow you to contribute to and gain experience in aircraft development, flight analysis, flight testing, or manufacturing optimization.

Additionally, you will acquire supplementary qualifications in business thinking, project management, quality management, and product management within the aerospace sector.

A significant milestone is the Bachelor's thesis, which you will complete at our company. During your studies, assignments at other German locations and internships abroad are possible.

Program Duration:

The dual study program for the B.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering lasts 3 years. You will spend half the time at the DHBW Ravensburg Campus Friedrichshafen and the other half on projects at the Donauwörth site. Alternatively, individual practical phases can be spent at other Airbus Group locations, including abroad.

What You Need to Bring:

For the Bachelor of Engineering program in Aerospace Engineering, you need a Fachhochschulreife, general higher education entrance qualification, or subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification with good grades, particularly in Mathematics and Physics. You should possess strong technical understanding, logical reasoning skills, and an interest in overarching contexts.

Career Development Opportunities:

Upon completion, you will graduate as a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Aerospace Engineering. With this qualification, you will have the same opportunities as university graduates. You will undertake diverse and interesting tasks, primarily in helicopter development or production. Opportunities also exist in sales or service.

With above-average performance and personal commitment, we support your further career path through training courses, project management training, and individual development opportunities tailored to your skills in specialist and management roles.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
