Electrical and Instrumentation Technician
At Cavendish Nuclear, we are dedicated to creating a safe and secure world. We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our team at the Sellafield site, located near Seascale and Egremont in Cumbria.
As an E&I Technician, you will be instrumental in our operations, responsible for the repair, maintenance, calibration, and testing of Radiation Protection Instruments. Your work is vital in ensuring that our critical systems meet the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and compliance.
Your Role:
- Repair, maintain, calibrate, and test radiation protection instruments to meet customer work demands.
- Accurately maintain instructions and record information.
- Conform to local procedures, rules, and working practices to ensure compliance with specified regulatory and customer requirements.
- Provide technical advice, work progress updates, and other relevant information to customers.
- Act as a mentor for other team members, including apprentices and new entrants, to uphold standards and best practices.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week at our Sellafield site.
Essential Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of conventional and nuclear safety.
- Proven experience servicing electronic instrument systems.
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification.
- Apprenticeship or equivalent training in a relevant discipline (e.g., Electronic, Electrical, Instrumentation, Technology).
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
