About the Role: Engineer – Data Delivery
Join BAE Systems and become an integral part of a global team dedicated to pioneering progress and protecting what matters most. As an Engineer – Data Delivery, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management and delivery of the River Class Destroyer (RCD) engineering query management system and all associated engineering process documentation.
In this role, you will assist in all aspects of the engineering query management capability. You will work within a multi-discipline team, serving as the main interface, point-of-contact, and escalation route both internally and externally. This will involve assisting in the development and agreement of detailed, applicable cross-company engineering processes, ensuring customer needs are met, and driving a continuous improvement approach.
Core Duties:
- Assist in developing a fit-for-purpose engineering query management system/capability for deployment on the RCD programme, working with key customer stakeholders.
- Support the deployment and management of the engineering query management system and capability for BAE Systems Naval Ships query resolution.
- Create and document new engineering requirements for company-to-company query interface capability, including supporting the development of the RCD Automated Gateway between BAE and ISI.
- Engage closely with RCD programme and Naval Ships digital demand governance processes and change boards.
- Working with the DD&C Data Team, support the establishment and maintenance of a commensurate reporting capability to measure engineering query management performance against the transfer schedule, right-first-time, issue detection, and resolution.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Academic qualification in a STEM-related subject.
- Ability and willingness to become recognised as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer through an appropriate recognised professional institution.
- Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle and governance of complex products, including transition from detail design into build.
- Knowledge of engineering processes such as design assurance, bills of materials, data quality and governance, design reviews, and zonal integration.

Location and Working Arrangements:
This role is UK Wide, with opportunities in Scotstoun, Filton, New Malden, and Portsmouth. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, typically 2-3 days per week on site. Please speak to your recruiter about the specific options for this particular role.
