Engineering Support Officer - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Babcock is seeking an Engineering Support Officer to join our Aviation business at Staverton, near Cheltenham. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting operations that make a genuine difference to communities across the UK, helping to keep mission-critical aviation services running smoothly.
You will work closely with Engineering and Flight Operations teams, providing essential administrative and operational support. This role is ideal for an organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to delivering high-quality support to multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase orders, invoices, expenses, and associated business documentation.
- Producing reports, KPI data, presentations, and spreadsheets to support departmental activities.
- Coordinating supplier liaison, hazardous waste collections, uniform and PPE orders, and stationery requests.
- Supporting Engineering and Flight Operations teams with roster administration, holiday requests, and sickness cover arrangements.
- Maintaining accurate records, files, and business documentation, while supporting internal meetings and reporting processes.
This is a full-time, permanent position based onsite, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Essential Experience:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across different organisational levels.
- Proven experience in maintaining accurate records, reports, and business documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in formulae, statistical functions, charts, and conditional formatting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of four GCSEs at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Security Clearance:
