Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Lead Design Engineer for 'Failure Management' to join the Maintenance & Ground Operation department based in Marignane, France. Contribute to shaping the future of aeronautics and protecting lives through our helicopters.
Your Future Missions:
Join our team to optimize maintenance workload, maximize fleet availability, and meet customer expectations. You will contribute to the Maintenance & Ground Operation department, a transnational team of 70 people responsible for the design of maintenance and ground operations for all helicopter programs. Your objective is to design solutions that minimize the impact of troubleshooting operations on aircraft availability and maintenance costs.
Your Main Missions Will Be:
- Design of the function: Define and challenge existing or supplier-proposed solutions; produce design documents (functional specifications, validation, and certification).
- Technical supervision: Supervise the design of testability (BIT) for avionics equipment, specify fault monitoring logic, and define system-level diagnostic rules.
- Project management: Manage planning, deliverables, costs, and quality, while identifying and mitigating project risks.
- Subcontracting management: Define work packages, contract services, ensure operational monitoring, and validate deliverables before payment.
- Continuous improvement: Contribute to the technical repository for the 'Failure Management' profession by defining processes and validation rules for increased efficiency.
Your Profile:
- Education: Master's degree (or equivalent) in systems engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in project management for aeronautical program development. Knowledge in avionics systems development, embedded systems testability, safety analyses (FMEA/AMDEC), or helicopter maintenance is a significant asset.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in project and budget management, subcontracting monitoring, and ideally expertise in helicopter function development (system diagnostics/troubleshooting).
- Languages: English (minimum upper-intermediate level required). Proficiency in French or German is a plus.
- Soft skills: Autonomy, excellent organization, strong interpersonal skills, and a great team spirit.
